 2016/ Painting

A question that triggers a sentimental state of mind is delivered to all participants, without giving their conscious minds enough time to articulate or manipulate the raw material –mindscape- their minds have conceived. Upon request, all subjects had to answer very spontaneously. However, the moment the original image is transferred from the participant's mind to me and onto the paper, it gets tangled in an uncontrollable yet continuous process of unintentional distortion. Despite the attempts to interpret the collected mental images into a coherent work, a difficulty was found in grasping a common denominator, as the results never cease to vary.

“Walking through a dark pathway, you reach a room immersed with darkness that will
suddenly become lit, what would your mind paint for you to see that moment?”
